THE HUMAN CANVAS - Serpentine Fire

So...
Serpentine Fire?
Well, two of the three
pieces done this night were a serpent
and a "phoenix feather".

Serpentine Fire
is also a REALLY cool
tune from Earth Wind and Fire.
Click HERE to see if you remember it.
If ya don't, the only reason can be that you probably
never heard it. So here it is.
You're welcome.

By calling it
Serpentine Fire though,
it also serves as a remindeer to me
to CALL LARRY BACK! Lorenzo Dunn, that is.
He played keys and served as musical director
FOR Earth Wind and Fire for a BUNCHA years,
and continues to produce...

and I want the interview we talked about!

That's him on the right.
He pulled me down for a photo
at Stanley Clarke's 60th birthday.
Like I was gonna say no?

Okay.
Back to THIS Serpent...

...And this canvas - Raven Lenore.
She's been a canvas for me for
several pieces before...

...But this time, gettin' a bit gothy.

Smiley Gothy.

And to go back
to the shot we opened with...
Well, that's the cropped version.
If we do the Human Canvas sessions at my house,
there's usually a pet or two or three
demanding love from the
model and/or artist.

But Sadie,
almost twelve at the time of this session,
sleeps a lot nowadays.

Slept right through all this.

Raven Lenore,
thank you again for being such
a willing and inspiring canvas. Possibly, the
only canvas to date who puts as much thought
(and dreaming) into Human Canvas
sessions as I do.

And this was one of 3 done this night.
We later went out to an orchard for some night-time
photos. That'll be coming soon.
Please... Check back.
